poor Brock

Apparently this is what happens when kids are supposed to be cleaning up there rooms before we have some family fun. Brock was on his bed with his flashlight and somehow "flew" off of it and his eye landed on his flashlight when he hit the floor. He was in pain last night but when we covered his left eye he was able to point to things on his stuffed dogie so we know he can see out of it. This morning he said his eye hurts a little but he is acting fine so I think it is just a little sore. I sure looks like it hurts.

steak

It's not to often that we have steak that has a bone in it but last night we had a big dinner and it always cracks Kenny and I up because the kids can be stuffed but as soon as you go to clean up Payton and Kaley both want to eat off the bone. Last night Brock wanted to be like them.O and I have to mention that it is not just steak bones they really love when I make pork cops with the bone in. Maybe they are part animal?

christmas 2

Here is our tree Christmas morning, every year I feel like I can shove and stack all the presents underneath but yet the pile just keeps growing farther out into the room.

well we went to the BIG doctors appt. on mon. we were all very excited to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. Guess what we couldn't tell go figure next appt. isn't till Jan. 12 which is going to be a very big day. It's Brock's first day of his new school, Payton and Kaley get grade cards, we find out what we are having (we better be able to tell this time) and the most important thing of all is it is Brock's 3rd birthday. Very busy but it is a very important day so I know we will find everything out.

kaley

Ever sense she was old enough she has been doing thing that make you think "what were we thinking?" Like when she was 1 1/2 at or old house she got into the refrigerator and cracked open a dozen eggs one at a time. Then there was the again getting in the fridge and playing in the butter spreading it all over the kitchen and making pictures with it on our dining room table. There are plenty more stories but the most recent one is thur. was supposed to be a nice night Kenny was working till 6 so I was going to cook a early dinner and the kids need to clean there rooms up (weren't that bad) and then we were going to go shopping for Kenny. Well when Kaley came home from school I told her our plans and she flipped about her room so I took her in there and showed her the couple of things that needed work. Well 45 min. later I was able to start cooking dinner, needless to say we didn't get to go shopping because I was a little frustrated. Later on I asked her to switch the laundry and put Brock's sheets from the washer to the dryer, no big deal she loves to do that and has always done a wonderful job at it. I went down right before bed to grab Brock's sheets to make his bed for bedtime and to my surprise when I opened the dryer door out fall a boat load of dryer sheets. So I started counting just the ones I seen I didn't pull anything out because it was still damp and ended up with 61. That's half the box! Kenny went down last night to grab them out and brought up the sheets and the dryer sheets that I had pulled out. He counted them all in total there was 92 dryer sheets that is 28 short of a big box. I think he was a little surprised he really thought I was over exaggerating he thought maybe 20 ha he apparently doesn't remember who did this task.
So I was wondering does anyone have a "funny" stories like hers and trust me I was not laughing at the time but last night I just suck my head and wondered what were we thinking

One down one to go

This morning we had Brock's evaluation to see if her qualified to continue on to preschool for his speech. All went well it was a little silly for me to drive down to bowling green again thought. We were under the understanding that they wouldn't know anything until he was he was done with all of the therapist but by what his teachers tested and his speech therapist found he was qualified. so he went back in the room and I was given paper work. O well. He had a hearing test and passed that and they tried to do a vision screening but he can not tell them what to pictures are so they couldn't do that. But all the other things they test him on were fine so he will go to preschool for speech and nothing else. He starts on his birthday and will go mon. and wen. he may ride the bus I need to call the bus garage and see if Kaley's bus has car seats in the bus if not then we will take him. We are very grateful for this program it is a wonderful thing are insurance doesn't cover speech because they don't think that it is needed in kids, we found out later that a lot of insurances don't cover speech. We are hoping the more changes are insurance changes that hopeful;y they will see this as a need. Brock does go to one on one speech also and we pay 50.00 a week for him to go. Witch 3 days of speech a week he is doing better he try's to say things now and continues everyday.

Then on another note we are so excited to go to the doctor on mon. hopefully we will find out what we are having YEAH!

christmas

well its that time a year again when we get the house all ready for the holidays. We still have to do the outside but Payton and Kenny will do that tomm. night. But as for the inside stuff it is done. Are tree we always put down stairs so that way Christmas morning we can enjoy opening presents in front of the nice warm fire.

The kids have there own trees in there rooms that they get to decorate how they want. They always love to do this.

Payton has his in star wars with white lights this year.
Kaley is a purple tree with princess on it and colored lights.

Brock's tree has bob the builder and tractors and race cars on it and colored lights.

After the house was decorated we went to go see Santa. Every year we go see Santa right before Christmas and every year my kids throw us for a loop and ask for something that we have never heard them say they wanted before. So this year we decided to go earlier and get it done. Hopefully we are on top of it this year. And best of all Brock wanted to sit on santa's lap we have a great picture this year not one kid is screaming best picture ever.

thanksgiving

well it thanksgiving today and we found out Kenny doesn't have to work tonight but he does have to work all weekend now. Oh well what are you gonna do.
On another note tomm. is my favorite day my mom and I always get up early (4:30am) and go shopping. although there haven't been that many good sales in the last year or two it is still a tradition and I don't want to break that one, and there are always things I can't live without.
I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving.

random

well I am officially 1/3 of the way done with this pregnancy in 3 weeks from today we will hopefully find out what we are having. Payton really wants another brother and kaley really wants a sister.

midterms came home on fri. and both kids are doing wonderfull. Payton is really working hard at straingt O's the quarter and he is almost there on his mid-term he had all O's and one S+ so he is almost there. Kaley was moved up to he next (highest reading group) reading group she is really working hard at reading and spelling she trys to sound out everything and spell on her own. Brock is also doing good he is trying harder at trying different words and different sounds.

other then that it is cold rainy and nasty out I just wish it would snow. Can't wait for a good thanksgiving dinner hopefully kenny dosen't have to work, he is supposed to go to work at 6pm but they were told fri. that they were off thanksgiving but they had problems on sat. so he is thinking he will have to work. we will see tomm. I just keep telling myself its only thanksgiving and we can eat at 4 so that way he can enjoy it to.

why?

I have not updated or wrote anything on here sense I made my original blog, mainly just because nothing has happened. (which in our house is amazing) Well I decided today that every time I yell at the kids or tell them to stop something doing something because we don't want them breaking something or putting a hole in the wall nothing happens, but when they are doing something they are supposed to be doing that's when things get broke. Like today Brock was going to let Zoe out to go the bathroom when his fingers slipped and he fell hitting his head on the curio cabinet and breaking the side glass. thankfully and amazingly there was no blood anywhere. There should have been because it shattered. Needless to say we were scared to death and Brock was crying but we mostly think he was afraid he was going to get in trouble. But all is well we will just go get a piece of glass cut for the spot and you will never know. But it never fails when you try to avoid something nothing happens but when all is normally that's when things happen. Why is this?

Well on another note we went to the doctor today all is well with the baby. We had another ultrasound and it actually looked like a baby you could see everything except what it is. o well next month when we go I will be 16 weeks so we should be able to see if everything works out.
